Vision Statement
To give students the tools to make good food choices for life.
Curriculum Overview
During KS3 we focus on healthy eating and basic cooking skills. We also introduce some of the concepts underpinning the KS4 Hospitality and Catering course. Introducing the career possibilities that this sector offers.
Cultural Capital
Students work on their understanding of healthy eating and the skills needed to produce dishes which they can uses throughout their lives to feed themselves and their families. A love of cooking will provide a creative outlet for many. The work relating to Hospitality and Catering helps them to explore a world which provides many avenues of further study as well as temporary job opportunities and career paths.
