"Good Design doesn't date" - Harry Seidler
Vision Statement
Graphic design and illustration is all around us. It helps use to communicate effectively and clearly and if done well can make the world a better place to live in
Curriculum Overview
Graphic design is a course that is designed for pupils who are interested in both art and design, and wish to pursue a future in graphic design, illustration, typography, advertising or packaging design
Cultural Capital
Within graphic design, pupils will explore a range of materials and medium, which will help them to understand what they enjoy in the world of graphic design. Understanding this will then help them to formulate a good understanding of what job roles they may like to explore once they level school. Pupils will research a range of jobs in the industry from hand drawn classic illustration to CAD animation, the expectations and the responsibility of working for a design company or working free-lance.
