With climate change and the planet's health in the news, students at the Royal Harbour Academy decided to take matters into their own hands.
On Thursday 25th November, our Bronze Duke of Edinburgh students volunteered to help clean up the streets of Ramsgate. Armed with litter pickers they searched the streets and were overwhelmed with the amount of rubbish they could find. Filling their bags, they have helped Ramsgate shine.
The event was organised with The Worshipful Mayor of Ramsgate, Cllr Raushan Ara, who holds a monthly meet up to help clean up Ramsgate Town.
DofE Leader, Miss Moss said, "It was so fantastic to see our young students take part in this, they could not believe how much they were able to gather. A wonderful example of the students at The Royal Harbour Academy"
A total of 17 students braved the cold and took to the challenge, showing not only the Duke of Edinburgh spirit but also the determination of The Royal Harbour Academy to make a positive difference to our community.
