A selection of our Sixth Form students participated in the ‘Safety in Action’ week, which was organised by SALUS and took place at Dreamland, Margate, last week.
On the first day, students completed training in First Aid and Health and Safety. Following completion of their training, students took part in work experience at the Safety in Action Primary School Event. The students gave support and also led workshops at the different stations, ranging from CPR and fire safety, to the power of attendance. This was a great opportunity for these students and it was fantastic to see how well they engaged and interacted with the primary school pupils. This work will feed into their service learning hours, required as part of the IBCP Programme they are studying at RHA.
