The Royal Harbour

Academy

Summer Performances

Students across both Upper and Lower Sites spent this term working hard together, rehearsing for their first ever show since the pandemic. Last week saw all their hard work and dedication pay off, with two incredibly successful evening performances! We have some exceptionally talented students at the school, and it was wonderful for them to finally have the opportunity to showcase their talent to their family, friends and school community.

This week will see their final performance of the year at the CAT Show, which is taking place at the Winter Gardens on Thursday 14th July. The cast will be performing in front of their biggest audience to date, as they take part in the show in collaboration with the other Coastal Academies Trust schools.

Michelle Moss, Music Teacher, said: “The last 2 years have been incredibly challenging for everyone, especially those within the creative arts sector. To have this opportunity to finally showcase our creative and musical students' talent has been an honour. The students have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks and are a credit to themselves and the school. They have spent many hours rehearsing and learning lines in preparation for the Summer Show and the CAT Show. Each and every student has a very bright future within the creative arts and we are excited to work with them and any other student that wishes to join our amazing music team on future performances. We hope to continue to grow the music department and team, with many more exciting shows already underway for next academic year.”
